Phase 1 has launched. Now accepting submissions!

Please submit a comprehensive description of the proposed innovation, answering the following questions, in PDF, Microsoft Word, or Text format. The document should be five (5) pages or less including any references. Margins should be no less than 1/2 inch on each side.

  • What is your innovation?
  • How will your innovation address one or more of the following for pregnant women in low-income and/or under-resourced communities:
    • Reducing barriers (please see the Challenge problem statement for examples)
    • Increasing remote access to quality care
    • Increasing quality of care through remote monitoring
    • Improving communication among patients, providers and/or broader support networks
    • Increasing knowledge and tools for pregnant women to take charge of their health care 
  • How do you define, and how will you measure, the impact of your innovation?
  • If you receive a Phase 1 award, how will you develop your innovation (considering all aspects of your solution design, including access to data and resources needed) and demonstrate that your solution will ultimately be accessible to a large number of the target population (i.e., the solution will be scalable) and integrates with existing healthcare systems?
  • How will your innovation consider the needs of under-resourced communities, including rural areas?
  • Describe the potential, if any, to impact maternal mortality through postpartum maternal monitoring.
