About HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB)

Part of the U.S. federal government’s Health Resources and Services Administration, MCHB works to improve the health of America’s mothers, children and families. We are committed to finding innovative solutions to our nation’s most pressing health issues. In 2015, we launched our first America COMPETES Challenge with the Bridging the Word Gap Challenge, which fast-tracked the development of cutting-edge interventions to promote language development for children from low-income families. We look forward to hearing more of your ideas!
